Companion
Piece is Created
Each Companion Piece begins with a photograph. The image is carefully selected to capture presence, personality, and memory.

The selected image is prepared, projected, and hand drawn onto canvas, forming the foundation of the work. Every detail is considered before the first thread is placed.
Thousands of silk threads are placed individually by hand, and adhesive, following the natural form of the subject. This slow, deliberate and intricate process can take several weeks, building texture, depth, and light through silk strands alone.

The finished portrait becomes a permanent heirloom.
